Is there a Hyperliquid airdrop in 2026? No, not as of October 22, 2026: Hyperliquid has announced no Season 3 (or “Season 2”), snapshot, criteria or claim page; its newest post on X (October 11, 2026) is about a community event (how we checked).
Trading, HLP deposits and staking need a Hyperliquid account. A referral code only lowers its fees: the referral docs list no bonus, points or airdrop for using one.
The only HYPE airdrop was the genesis of November 29, 2024: 270.9M HYPE to 94,019 addresses, a median of 64.42 HYPE (about $5,200 at $80.71 on October 22, 2026). Check an address ↓

— Season 3 status re-checked on October 22 against the docs, @HyperliquidX, @HyperFND and the app's Points page: still not announced. New sections on whether anything is left to claim, the points leaderboard and which Hyperliquid apps run their own points (Liquid, Dexari and Ventuals live; Based and others ended), a note that the May 2025 @HyperFND post about Season 3 points came from a compromised account, and a dated Polymarket reading.

Hyperliquid airdrop checker (2024 HYPE genesis)
Runs in your browser: it downloads the public genesis list from api.hyperliquid.xyz (a large file, about 5 MB) and looks up the address. No wallet connection, no signature, nothing is sent to us. A future Season 3 has no checker anywhere, because nothing has been announced.
Is there a Hyperliquid airdrop in 2026? Season 3 status
Not announced, as of October 22, 2026. We re-checked the official docs, the @HyperliquidX and @HyperFND accounts, the app’s Points page and its Announcements list that day (Points page October 22, 2026). Everything else you read about “Hyperliquid Season 3” either says it is unconfirmed or presents speculation as fact.

Prediction markets price the uncertainty, not a plan: on October 22, 2026, a Polymarket market on whether Hyperliquid will perform a second airdrop by December 31, 2026 traded at 8.5% for “Yes”.
What would count as real confirmation
If a second program starts, it will appear in the official docs (hyperliquid.gitbook.io), in the app at app.hyperliquid.xyz and on the @HyperliquidX account; the first program was announced on the day it began, November 1, 2023. A “Season 3 is live” headline that links to none of those is not confirmation. Neither is a third-party leaderboard, a picture read as a hint, or the May 2025 @HyperFND post, which came from a compromised account.
Hyperliquid Season 1, 2 and 3: dates and what counted
Hyperliquid’s docs never use the word “season”. They describe one points program and an L1 phase of points, both paid out at the November 2024 genesis. Community trackers called them “Season 1” and “Season 1.5” or “Season 2”, which is why the unannounced next round is “Season 2” on some sites and “Season 3” on others. Both names mean the same thing: a possible future distribution that Hyperliquid has not announced.

How points decided eligibility
Points were meant to reward "users who contribute to the protocol's success". The criteria were "updated on a recurring basis" and never published as a formula, so no third-party "Hyperliquid airdrop calculator" was ever accurate. Weekly activity was counted up to Wednesday 00:00 UTC, and points were distributed on Thursdays. Referrals were the one activity the docs rewarded explicitly: affiliates earned one point for every four points their referred users earned. Hyperliquid "reserves the right to modify previous point distributions under its sole discretion", and the Genesis Event Terms allowed it to exclude addresses.
In practice, eligibility came down to three things:
You used the exchange during the points window.
Hyperliquid did not exclude your address at its discretion.
You completed the Redemption Submission before the distribution: you connected the wallet and accepted the Genesis Event Terms (last revised October 10, 2024).
Trading after the snapshot, trading HYPE on a centralized exchange, or holding HYPE bought later earned nothing.
Hyperliquid airdrop checker: look up an address
There is no official "checker" page, because there was no claim step after genesis, and there is no checker for a Season 2 or 3 anywhere: sites that offer one show estimates of something that has not been announced. Once a wallet had completed the pre-genesis Redemption Submission, HYPE went straight into its spot balance. The quickest check is our checker at the top of this page, which searches the official genesis list for you. To check an address by hand:
Explorer (no login). Open hypurrscan.io, paste the address, and look in the transfer history for the HYPE genesis credit dated November 29, 2024. The address page also shows the current HYPE spot and staking balances. Our HypurrScan and Hyperliquid explorer guide walks through the address view.
In the app. Log in at app.hyperliquid.xyz, open Portfolio → History and filter to November 29, 2024. If you never moved the HYPE, you can also just check the HYPE line in your spot balances.
Via the API (developers). POST {"type":"tokenDetails","tokenId":"0x0d01dc56dcaaca66ad901c959b4011ec"} to https://api.hyperliquid.xyz/info. The genesis.userBalances array holds every address and its allocation, so searching it for your address is a complete checker.
hypurrscan.io (September 2026): search any address to see its HYPE balances and the November 29, 2024 genesis credit.
How much was the Hyperliquid airdrop worth?
Most articles repeat the announced headline, “310 million HYPE (31%) to about 94,000 users”. The genesis record is public, so we read it from the chain instead: the public API’s tokenDetails response for HYPE lists every genesis balance.

Two things follow. First, the announced 31.0% genesis distribution (310M) is about 39M HYPE more than the 27.1% that actually sits in user wallets. The future-emissions address holds almost exactly that much more than its announced 38.888% share. The Genesis Event Terms required a Redemption Submission: connecting a wallet and accepting the terms at hyperfoundation.org during the Genesis Event Period. The Hyper Foundation's genesis post says undistributed tokens were moved to future emissions and community rewards. So allocations that were never confirmed ended up in that reserve. Some explainers say every eligible wallet was paid "regardless" of any action; the terms say otherwise. Second, the reserve has since fallen by about 17.5M HYPE, which is where staking rewards come from.

The top 10 addresses received 4.3% of the user distribution, the top 100 received 19.9% and the top 1,000 received 57%. In dollar terms, the median 64.42 HYPE was worth about $400 at the first-day close ($6.25) and about $5,200 at $80.71 (October 22, 2026). A 90th-percentile wallet is worth roughly $202,000 at that price. The often-quoted "$45,000 average allocation" is a mean pulled up by a few hundred very large wallets. The typical recipient got far less.
Hyperliquid airdrop claim: is there anything left to claim?
No. The genesis HYPE went straight into the spot balances of addresses that had completed the pre-genesis Redemption Submission (connect the wallet and accept the Genesis Event Terms at hyperfoundation.org). There was no claim transaction then and there is no late claim now; allocations that were never confirmed moved to the future-emissions reserve. The only balances that can genuinely wait for you on Hyperliquid are referral rewards (claimable above $1 on the Referrals page), vault withdrawals and HYPE in the unstaking queue (7 days).
Airdrop scams to avoid
Fake “Season 2/3 claim”, “eligibility” or “vote” pages that ask you to connect a wallet and sign. Nothing is waiting to be received, so there is no legitimate reason to sign anything for a Hyperliquid airdrop today. In October 2026 fake “Season 2 vote” posts were reported circulating on X.
Look-alike domains, sponsored search results and DMs. The app lives at app.hyperliquid.xyz; Hyperliquid’s own support page says to “beware of sponsored links on your search engine” and to “assume most DMs are scams”.
Tokens named after the rumour (“Season 3”, “S3”) and paid “airdrop boosters” that want a private key or an API wallet with withdrawal rights. See our DEX security checklist.
Hyperliquid points: the Points page and the leaderboard
The app still has a Points page (More → Points, app.hyperliquid.xyz/points). For a connected wallet it shows Total Points, Rank and a League badge, with share and save-image buttons; logged out it shows 0 points, rank N/A and the Wood league. Its “Learn more” link goes to the past-tense docs page on the 2023–24 program. Hyperliquid has published no new points period, weekly budget, criteria or token conversion, so the page is a record of past points, not an announcement, and a number on it is not a promised allocation.
There is no points leaderboard any more. The app’s Leaderboard ranks accounts by PnL, ROI and volume, with no prizes attached; how to read it and follow top traders is in our Hyperliquid leaderboard guide.
Which apps on Hyperliquid run their own points?
Apps built on Hyperliquid run their own programs. They are the app’s points, paid (if ever) by the app, not a Hyperliquid airdrop. If you trade through one of them, join on app.hyperliquid.xyz with HOLYGRAIL first and connect the app with the same wallet: apps such as Phantom often set their own Hyperliquid referral code on accounts that have none, and the 4% discount on Hyperliquid’s part of the fee only follows an account that already has the code. The programs, read on each app’s own docs on October 22, 2026:
Liquid (mobile app): points are live, earned from trading with an undisclosed formula, updated weekly, with no seasons; the docs promise no token. Liquid with code JV2EN2CX takes 10% off Liquid’s own fee.
Dexari (mobile app): Points Season 2 is running, with weekly distributions every Wednesday and multipliers by volume tier.
Ventuals (HIP-3 markets): 500,000 points a week since February 3, 2026, for trades through its front end.
Based: Seasons 1 to 3 have ended (Season 3 on May 4, 2026) and $BASED has been distributed; no Season 4 is announced.
Ended elsewhere: pvp.trade (all points distributed in February 2025), HyperSwap, Kinetiq, HyperLend (October 2025), HypurrFi Season 2 and Hyperbeat’s Hearts (fully distributed).
Venue-level programs (Lighter, Aster, Paradex and others) are ranked in our perp DEX airdrops guide.
How to position for a possible next Hyperliquid airdrop
Read this first: none of the items below is an announced criterion. Hyperliquid has published nothing about a next round. This is only what the first program rewarded (real use over a long window, plus referrals) mapped onto today's products, with the cost of each. Do something on this list only if it is worth it to you without an airdrop.
Nothing. It must be entered before $10,000 of volume
4% off fees on your first $25M. The referral docs list no points or airdrop for using a code (in the 2023–24 program, referral points went to the referrer, not the referred account)
2
Trade perps or spot you actually want, over weeks rather than in one burst
Taker 0.045% / maker 0.015% on perps (0.09% for a market round trip), 0.070% / 0.040% on spot, plus market risk
Progress toward fee tiers (down to 0.024% / 0%); spot volume counts double for tiers
3
Try HIP-3 markets (builder-deployed perps such as stocks, indices and FX)
Set per market by the deployer: for example taker 0.090% at a standard fee setting and 0.009% on trade.xyz's growth-mode markets; thinner books
Access to markets a crypto-only venue does not list
4
Deposit in HLP or a user vault
HLP deposits are locked 4 days after the last deposit; vaults can and do lose money
About 2.12–2.23% a year plus a 5–40% fee discount (staking guide)
6
Use HyperEVM apps
Gas in HYPE; third-party smart-contract risk
Whatever those apps offer. Their own token launches are not a Hyperliquid airdrop
✗
Do not split activity across many wallets or wash trade
Fees on every trade; volume split across wallets also moves each one up the fee tiers more slowly
Nothing. The Genesis Event Terms let Hyperliquid exclude addresses at its discretion
Hyperliquid is the deepest on-chain perp venue (179 perp markets as of November 3, 2026, $4–8B of daily volume). If you already use it for that, you are already doing what the first round rewarded most: months of real use. If you would trade only to farm a hypothetical drop, the fees and market risk are certain and the reward is not. New to the app? How to use Hyperliquid covers account setup, deposits and your first order.
Rows 2 to 5 happen in a Hyperliquid account
Trading, HIP-3 markets, HLP or vault deposits and staking all start from a funded Hyperliquid account. If you open one, use code HOLYGRAIL before the first trade: 4% off taker and maker fees on your first $25M, stacking with the HYPE staking discount. It cannot be added after $10,000 of volume. That discount is all a code gives; no airdrop is promised to any account.

Hyperliquid’s drop stood out for having no claim step, far fewer recipients than ZKsync and no outside investors (“No investors”, says hyperfoundation.org), so no venture unlocks competed with it. Other perp DEXs have since paid their own: Lighter distributed LIT to its points holders (Lighter airdrop) and Aster pays ASTER to its points holders in stages (Aster airdrop). For what HYPE does today, see the HYPE token guide and, against the other two perp-DEX tokens, HYPE vs ASTER vs LIT.
Is the Hyperliquid airdrop taxable?
In most jurisdictions, an airdrop is taxable income at its value on the day you received it, and that value becomes your cost basis when you sell. For HYPE the date is November 29, 2024. On Hyperliquid spot the token opened at $2.00 and closed at $6.25 that day. Tax authorities differ on which price they accept (open, close or daily average), so take the exact figure from the HYPE/USDC daily candle and keep it with your records. The trade history export guide shows how to download the full ledger from the app, and the DEX tax reporting guide covers record-keeping across venues. Staking rewards accrue daily and usually count as income when they arrive. This is general information, not tax advice.
Hyperliquid airdrop FAQ
Is there a Hyperliquid airdrop in 2026?
No airdrop has been announced. As of October 22, 2026, the only HYPE airdrop is the genesis distribution of November 29, 2024. Hyperliquid has not published a snapshot, a points period, eligibility criteria or a claim page for a second round, and its docs describe the only points program in the past tense. Any site or message offering a "Hyperliquid airdrop claim" today is not from Hyperliquid.
Is Hyperliquid Season 3 confirmed?
No. "Season 3" (and "Season 2") are community names for a possible next round; Hyperliquid's docs never use the word season. As of October 22, 2026, neither the docs, the app nor @HyperliquidX announce a new season, period or criteria. A May 24, 2025 post on @HyperFND about a "second round of HYPE claims" and "Season 3 points" was published after Hyperliquid warned that the account had been compromised.
When is the Hyperliquid Season 3 airdrop date?
There is no date, because there is no announced Season 3. The first program was announced on the day it started (November 1, 2023), so a real one would appear in the docs, the app and on @HyperliquidX first. Any S3 date or "snapshot" quoted by an airdrop site or checker is a guess.
How do I claim the Hyperliquid airdrop?
There is nothing to claim. The genesis HYPE was pushed straight into the spot balances of eligible addresses on November 29, 2024, after a pre-genesis step (connect the wallet and accept the Genesis Event Terms at hyperfoundation.org). There is no late claim and no current claim page, so treat any "claim" link as phishing.
Is there a Hyperliquid airdrop checker?
For the 2024 genesis, yes: the checker on this page searches the official genesis list from the Hyperliquid API for any address, with no wallet connection. You can also search the address on hypurrscan.io for the HYPE credit of November 29, 2024. For a Season 2 or 3 there is no checker anywhere, because nothing has been announced; "S3 checkers" show estimates, not allocations.
How much was the Hyperliquid airdrop worth?
On-chain, 94,019 user addresses received 270.9M HYPE. The median allocation was 64.42 HYPE, worth about $400 at the first-day close of $6.25 and about $5,200 at $80.71 (October 22, 2026). The mean was 2,882 HYPE because the top 1,000 addresses received 57% of the total.
Can new users still qualify for a Hyperliquid airdrop?
Nobody can qualify for something that has not been announced, and the criteria of any next round are unknown. The only program on record (2023–24) rewarded each account for its own trading over months, plus referrals for the referrer. Nothing a new user does today is known to count toward anything. If you would trade on Hyperliquid anyway, the one certain benefit is the 4% referral fee discount, added before the first trade; no airdrop is promised to anyone, referred accounts included.
Does trading or staking on Hyperliquid earn points now?
Nothing official says so. The app's Points page shows a record but no new season. What exists today: trading moves you through fee tiers, staking HYPE pays a variable reward (about 2.12–2.23% a year by validator, October 19, 2026) and unlocks 5–40% fee discounts, and the referral discount takes 4% off fees on your first $25M. Some apps built on Hyperliquid, such as Liquid and Dexari, run their own points programs.
Do multiple wallets help with a Hyperliquid airdrop?
There is no evidence they help, and they can hurt. The Genesis Event Terms let Hyperliquid exclude addresses at its discretion, points were never published as a formula, Hyperliquid said in November 2024 that large-scale sybil farms take points from real users, and splitting volume across wallets keeps each one in a higher fee tier without any announced benefit.
Is the "Season 3" (S3) token related to Hyperliquid?
Not as far as any official Hyperliquid source shows. HYPE is the native Hyperliquid token, and neither the docs nor the app mention an "S3" token. Tokens that borrow the Season 3 name are separate projects with their own risk.
Does Hyperliquid run trading competitions?
No official ones. Hyperliquid publishes a public PnL, ROI and volume leaderboard but attaches no prizes to it, and its only points program ended in 2024. Prize contests on perp DEXs are short and venue-run: Aster ran a Grid Liquidity Mining campaign (up to 140,000 ASTER, September 28 – October 25, 2026) for grid orders on a few pairs. Fees on that volume are certain while the prize is not. Our perp DEX airdrops ranking lists which points programs and campaigns are live.
No airdrop is promised; a referral code gives a fee discount
Hyperliquid has announced no next round, and nothing on this page is a criterion. If you open a Hyperliquid account to trade, deposit in HLP or stake, add code HOLYGRAIL before the first trade: 4% off trading fees on your first $25M of volume, stacking with HYPE staking discounts. A code cannot be added after $10,000 of volume. Compare venues on our Hyperliquid review.
Disclosure: HOLYGRAIL (Hyperliquid) and JV2EN2CX (Liquid) are our referral codes; we earn a share of referred accounts’ fees. The status of a next airdrop and the points-program dates were checked against the official docs, @HyperliquidX and @HyperFND on October 22, 2026, and the Points page in the app on October 22, 2026. Genesis balances and supply were read from the Hyperliquid public API; prices are dated where they appear. Apps’ points programs come from their own docs. Nothing here is financial or tax advice.
