Lighter referral code 718610TD: a glowing invite ticket and gift box above a feather-light order book

Code: 718610TD · Link: app.lighter.xyz/?referral=718610TD (3 steps)
You get: 10% of the fees you pay rebated in USDC every Monday, from sign-up.
Standard account: 0% / 0% on perps and spot with or without a code.
Invite code required? No. Lighter has been open to everyone since its public mainnet on October 1, 2025.
Timing: the discount starts at sign-up; the code cannot be added to an existing account.
Payout: Mondays, as an L2 transfer, $1 minimum.

1. What the Lighter referral code gives you

Lighter is a zk-rollup perpetuals and spot exchange with verifiable order matching. Its referral program page opens with an honest line: “Lighter remains free to trade for most users.” The program is built for traders who choose the faster Premium account, and it gives the person who signs up with a code a fee rebate: 10% of the fees you pay.

When you open our link, the app shows this invite (checked October 20, 2026, app v6.0.59, logged out):

“You’re invited! Invite code 718610TD. Create your Lighter account with this invite to get a 10% discount on trading fees. Choose your account type after creating and verifying your account.”

Until mid-October the same dialog promised “your first week of Premium free. All first-week trading fees are rebated in USDC” (September 27, 2026, v6.0.47). Lighter’s referral page still mentions that first-week rebate in its introduction, next to the referee discount, but the app’s invite no longer shows it. Do not count on it: this page counts only the 10%.

The official terms behind it:

  • Referee discount. “If you join through a referral link, you’ll be prompted to get a 10% discount on fees you pay, rebated every Monday. The discount starts at sign-up, when the referral code is used.” No end date is stated.
  • First Premium week (unconfirmed). The introduction still reads “Referred users get their first week of Premium/Advanced fees rebated,” but the invite dialog no longer shows it (October 20, 2026), so treat it as unconfirmed. Earlier versions capped it at $10M of volume.
  • Payout. Weekly L2 transfers from 0x817645592D5f7BB7F4F1b027B7f5277f28d12805. Each Monday covers Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC of the previous week. $1 minimum.
  • Also counted. “Fees paid to access advanced order types via a Standard account are also counted.”
  • Permanent. “Once a referral code is used at sign-up, it cannot be changed or added later.”
  • Start date. The current program applies to referrals made on or after July 28, 2026, and also to users referred earlier who are on a Standard account and switch account types.

2. How to use 718610TD: 3 steps (desktop and phone)

  1. Open the link: app.lighter.xyz/?referral=718610TD. The invite dialog shows “Invite code 718610TD” and a toast confirms “Referral code will be used after login.” You do not type the code anywhere.
  2. Click Connect Wallet and create the account. The “Log in or sign up” window takes an email address or a wallet (Coinbase, OKX Wallet, MetaMask, Binance Wallet, Rabby, Phantom and more). Signing in creates your Lighter account; this is the moment the referral is attached and the 10% discount starts.
  3. Choose your account type. The invite says you choose it “after creating and verifying your account.” Pick Premium if you want the rebate to matter; Standard if you want 0% fees and do not mind the latency. Do make a choice: the app warns “Closing this without choosing will discard your invite.” In September 2026 a trial notice also read “Your first week of Premium is free”; the October 2026 invite no longer mentions a free week.

Then deposit USDC (routes and minimums: Lighter deposit and withdrawal guide; first-time screens: how to use Lighter DEX), trade during the week as usual, and look for the Monday USDC transfer from the payout address above. Amounts under $1 are not sent.

Lighter You are invited dialog with invite code 718610TD, September 2026 version
What our link shows (September 25, 2026; same text in v6.0.47 on September 27): app.lighter.xyz/?referral=718610TD opens “You’re invited! Invite code 718610TD — get your first week of Premium free; all first-week trading fees are rebated in USDC”, and a toast confirms “Referral code will be used after login”. Since mid-October the dialog offers the 10% discount instead.

On a phone

The invite works the same on mobile web: on a phone-sized screen the link opens the trade page with the “You’re invited!” sheet at the bottom and the same toast (checked September 27, 2026). Two details matter on a phone:

  • Open the link in the browser you will sign up in. The app remembers the code in that browser until you log in. If you sign up with a wallet app such as MetaMask or OKX Wallet, paste the link into the wallet’s built-in browser; if you use email, Safari or Chrome is fine.
  • Create the account on the web first, then use the app. Lighter Mobile (iOS and Android) is a separate app; sign up through the link, then log in to the app with the same wallet or email, or use the web app’s “Link Mobile Device” button. More in the Lighter mobile app guide.

3. How to check the code is attached

  1. Before you connect: the dialog must read “Invite code 718610TD”, and the toast “Referral code will be used after login” appears. If you see no invite, open the link again before connecting. Closing the invite with “Maybe later” kept the code saved in the browser in our test, but the safest path is to connect straight from the invite.
  2. Right after sign-up: the app asks you to choose an account type, as the invite said it would. That prompt means the account was created from the invite.
  3. The following Monday: if you paid Premium fees, 10% of them arrives as a USDC L2 transfer from 0x817645592D5f7BB7F4F1b027B7f5277f28d12805, covering Monday to Sunday UTC of the previous week (minimum $1).

Keep your trade history for that week: 10% of the fee column is what gets rebated, so you can check the transfer against it.

4. Lighter invite code: is one still required?

No. “Lighter invite code” is a leftover from the private beta, when access was limited. Lighter announced on October 1, 2025 that “the Lighter public mainnet is live after 8 months of private beta,” and anyone can now sign up. We checked on September 27, 2026: opening the app without any link and clicking Connect Wallet brings up “Log in or sign up” with only an email field and wallet buttons, and no invite-code field.

The word survived in the product, though: the referral dialog itself says “You’re invited! Invite code 718610TD.” Today an invite code and a referral code are the same thing. It is optional, and its only effect for you is the referee rebate above.

5. What the code does not give: myths and fake bonuses

Many pages ranking for “Lighter referral code” are spam or copied forum posts that promise bonuses Lighter never announced. Against Lighter’s own documentation:

  • “EARN25: 25% bonus referral points” / “BONUS5: 5% extra points.” Not in Lighter’s docs, which describe no points boost for referees from any code on Lighter Core.
  • “Sign-up bonus in USDT” or “free trading credit.” None exists. The only money that moves is the rebate of Premium fees you actually paid.
  • “A code lowers the fee schedule.” It does not. The 10% referee discount comes back as a weekly USDC rebate of fees you already paid; the schedule stays the same. Standard is 0% for everyone; Premium is the published rate, lower only through LIT staking or LIT Fee Credits.
  • “Use the link after you create your account.” Wrong order. The code is attached when the account is created, and it “cannot be changed or added later.”
  • “The code gives you points.” Lighter documents no points for referees. In October 2026 it removed its Season 1 and 2 points pages from the docs; the former market-maker page said Season 2 ended on December 26, 2025. Background: Lighter airdrop and points guide.
  • Lighter on Robinhood Chain is a separate Lighter instance with its own points program (terms effective August 10, 2026) that bans self-referrals and circular referral schemes. Its referral page reads “Invite traders to Lighter on Robinhood Chain with the referral code and get 10% of their trading points”: that is a points reward for the referrer, not a bonus for the person referred. This page covers Lighter Core at app.lighter.xyz, where referrals pay USDC fee kickbacks instead.

Every valid code gives a referee the same benefit, so there is no “better” Lighter code. Trust the invite text the app shows, not the headline of the page that sent you there.

6. Common mistakes that lose the invite

  • Connecting a wallet before opening the link. If you connect first, the account exists and the code can no longer be attached.
  • Opening the link in one browser and signing up in another. The code is remembered only in the browser where you opened the link (for example, the link in Safari but the sign-up inside MetaMask’s browser).
  • Closing the account-type prompt without choosing. The app warns that this “will discard your invite.”
  • Expecting a rebate on Standard. Standard fees are already 0%; there is nothing to rebate unless you pay for advanced order types.
  • Opening a second account to use a code. Self-referrals and other attempts to game the program lead to disqualification.
  • Using a look-alike site. Lighter’s docs list its front ends as app.lighter.xyz and lighter.exchange. Never connect a wallet on another domain that promises a bigger code bonus.

7. Already have an account?

Then the code cannot be applied: Lighter’s referral rules say referral codes “cannot be changed after sign-up.” This is stricter than Hyperliquid, where the app still accepts a code until an account has traded $10,000. Two things are worth knowing before you consider a fresh account. First, Lighter’s referral rules disqualify “self-referrals, and any other attempts to abuse or game the program.” Second, the benefit is a rebate of fees you pay (10%); for a Standard user who pays no fees it is worth nothing. For most existing users the right move is to keep trading as they are.

8. Standard, Premium and Plus: why most users pay nothing

Lighter charges by account type, not by volume tier. The default Standard account pays 0% maker and 0% taker on every perp and spot market; the trade-off is latency (300 ms on taker orders and cancels; maker orders are not delayed). Premium is opt-in: 0.0040% maker and 0.0280% taker with no LIT staked, 140 ms taker latency and no added latency on cancels or post-only orders. Plus is a third option for API users who need higher rate limits: 0.5 bps both sides.

Account typeMakerTakerLatencySub-accountsWith the code
Standard (default)0%0%300 ms taker and cancel; maker not delayed4Nothing to rebate (except fees on advanced order types)
Premium, 0 LIT staked0.0040%0.0280%140 ms taker; no delay on cancels and post-only6410% of fees rebated weekly
Premium, 10,000 LIT0.0036%0.0252%140 ms6410% of the discounted fee rebated
Premium, 500,000 LIT0.0028%0.0196%140 ms6410% of the discounted fee rebated
Plus (opt-in)0.005%0.005%300 ms taker, 300 ms cancel, no maker delay16Higher API rate limits; fees are counted

Lighter trading-fees docs and API account-types docs, September 2026. Premium discounts for staked LIT run from 2.5% (1,000 LIT) to 30% (500,000 LIT); LIT Fee Credits let you rent a higher tier. The account type is tied to your L1 address; downgrading is limited to once per 24 hours, upgrading has no cooldown.

So a Lighter referral code does not unlock zero fees; zero fees are the default. It returns 10% of the fees you pay. Full fee detail: Lighter fees.

9. What the referee rebates are worth

At the base Premium rate (no LIT staked), the 10% referee discount gives back, per week:

Weekly volumeFees paid, all taker (0.028%)Back, all takerBack, all maker (0.004%)Back, half and half
$100,000$28.00$2.80$0.40$1.60
$1,000,000$280.00$28.00$4.00$16.00
$10,000,000$2,800.00$280.00$40.00$160.00

Our calculation from the published Premium rates and the 10% referee discount; all rebates are discretionary. The docs’ introduction also mentions a first-week Premium rebate, which the app’s invite no longer shows; these figures do not count it.

In practice: on $1M of Premium taker volume you pay $280 and get $28 back the following Monday. A typical active retail trader doing $200,000 of taker volume in a week gets $5.60 back. If you stay on Standard all week, you paid nothing and receive nothing, which is still the best deal of all for a trader who can live with 300 ms.

10. Your own Lighter referral code and referrer tiers

Where to find your code. Every account can refer. Open Referrals in the app’s top menu (app.lighter.xyz/referrals) and connect your wallet; logged out, the page says “Connect a wallet to see your referral code and earnings.” Your link has the form app.lighter.xyz/?referral=YOURCODE. Lighter’s API reference lists “Update referral code (allowed once per account)”, so renaming your code is limited to 1 change per account; choose carefully.

Lighter Referrals page in September 2026: earn up to 30% of the fees referred traders pay, with kickback, fees, volume and referred counters
Lighter’s Referrals page, September 27, 2026 (logged out): “Invite traders and earn up to 30% of the fees they pay, settled in USDC every Monday,” with Kickback earned (10% of referral fees at the entry tier), Referral fees paid, Referral volume and Referred. Connect a wallet to see your own code. On October 22, 2026 the same line said “up to 20%”.

What a referrer earns. A share of the gross fees paid by referred users:

TierKickbackRequirement
Bronze10%Everyone
Silver20%15+ unique referrals, each active on 5+ separate trading days
Top rate in the appup to 20%The same as Silver: on October 22, 2026 the app’s Referrals page said “earn up to 20%”, and the docs list no tier above Silver (on October 14, 2026 the app still said “up to 30%”, the rate of the former Gold tier)
  • Only users who signed up on or after July 28, 2026 count toward tiers.
  • Upgrades are reviewed manually every Monday, apply from the upgrade date (not retroactively) and are “granted at our discretion.”
  • Trades through the partner-attribution program with non-zero integrator fees earn no kickback. Since September 14, 2026, partner-attribution trades from Standard accounts are rejected altogether.
  • The kickback is paid from Lighter’s fee revenue. It does not raise the referred trader’s fees.

Because Standard accounts pay no trading fees, a referrer earns only when referees use Premium or Plus or pay for advanced order types. At Bronze, a Premium referee paying $280 of fees on $1M of taker volume earns the referrer $28. We say this plainly because it explains why we recommend Lighter’s free Standard account to many readers even though it earns us nothing. How this compares with other exchanges’ programs is in how to earn from DEX referral programs.

11. Rules that cancel a rebate

Lighter’s program guidelines are short and strict: “All kickbacks and rebates, on both the referrer and referee side, are discretionary.” Wash trading, self-referrals and other attempts to game the program lead to disqualification and forfeiture of pending rebates, and Lighter “may modify, suspend, or terminate the program at any time.” Do not try to inflate a rebate by trading against yourself; Lighter’s self-trade prevention and verifiable matching make it visible.

12. Is Lighter legit? KYC and safety

  • Track record. Lighter has run as a public mainnet since October 1, 2025, after eight months of private beta. Its public API reported about $653M of volume in the 24 hours to 23:05 UTC on September 26, 2026 (a Saturday), across 210 active perp and 10 spot markets.
  • Verifiable design. Orders are matched and liquidated inside zero-knowledge circuits on an Ethereum L2, and the docs publish 9 security audit reports for its smart contracts and circuits.
  • No KYC at sign-up. You log in with a wallet or an email and keep custody of your funds; no identity documents are requested. That does not make activity anonymous (it is on-chain), and taxes still apply. Background: trading on DEXs without KYC.
  • Who may not use it. Lighter’s Terms of Service exclude persons in the US, Canada, the UK, China, Russia, Ukraine and several sanctioned countries. Do not try to work around that.
  • Risks that remain. Smart-contract and bridge risk, liquidation risk on leveraged positions, and rebates that are discretionary. Our full assessment is in the Lighter review.

13. Who should use it, and Lighter vs Hyperliquid codes

  • Scalpers and latency-sensitive traders who plan to run Premium from day one get the most: 10% of their Premium fees back while they use 140 ms execution.
  • API and bot traders on Premium or Plus get 10% of their fees back every Monday; see the Lighter API guide.
  • Everyone else gains little, but loses nothing, and the code can only be added at sign-up.

FAQ

What is the Lighter referral code?

Our Lighter referral code is 718610TD. Open app.lighter.xyz/?referral=718610TD before you create your account; the app shows “You’re invited! Invite code 718610TD” and uses the code after you log in. Lighter attaches a code only at sign-up.

Is a Lighter invite code required to sign up?

No. Lighter opened its public mainnet on October 1, 2025, after eight months of private beta, and anyone can now create an account. When you open the app without a referral link, the “Log in or sign up” window asks only for an email or a wallet; there is no invite-code field. A referral code is optional and only adds the referee rebate (10% of the fees you pay).

Where do I find a Lighter referral code?

Use a referral link from an existing user, such as ours: app.lighter.xyz/?referral=718610TD. Your own code is on the Referrals page of the app (app.lighter.xyz/referrals) once you connect your wallet: “Connect a wallet to see your referral code and earnings.”

Do I have to type the Lighter code anywhere?

No. The code travels in the link. The app shows the invite, a toast says “Referral code will be used after login”, and the code is applied when you create the account. The sign-up window has no box to type a code into, so open the link first, in the same browser you sign up with.

What does a Lighter referral code give me?

A 10% discount on the trading fees you pay, rebated in USDC every Monday and starting at sign-up; that is what the invite dialog offered on October 20, 2026. Lighter’s referral page also still says referred users get their first week of Premium fees rebated, but the app’s invite no longer shows that, so do not count on it. The discount does not change the fee schedule itself, and Standard accounts already trade at 0% maker and 0% taker, so the rebates matter on Premium, Plus and paid advanced order types.

Which Lighter referral code is real (EARN25, BONUS5 and others)?

Every valid code gives the referee the same thing: 10% of fees rebated weekly. Lighter’s documentation describes no 25% or 5% bonus, no points boost for referees and no USDT sign-up bonus, so ignore codes advertised with those promises. Check the invite text the app itself shows before you connect a wallet.

Is a Lighter referral code worth it if I use a Standard account?

It changes little, because Standard accounts pay no trading fees on perps or spot. It costs nothing, though, and cannot be added later, so it keeps the option open: if you later switch to Premium, or pay for advanced order types, 10% of those fees comes back every Monday.

Can I add a Lighter referral code after signing up?

No. Lighter’s referral page says attribution is permanent: once a code is used at sign-up it cannot be changed or added later. An existing account cannot be referred.

When do the referral rebates start?

At sign-up, when the referral code is used, not when you first switch to Premium. Lighter states no end date for the 10% discount, so it keeps applying to the fees you pay after that.

Can I use the Lighter referral code on mobile?

Yes. Open the link in your phone’s browser, or in your wallet app’s built-in browser if you sign up with a wallet: the same invite appears on mobile web. Create the account there, then log in to the Lighter Mobile app with the same account. The code is remembered only in the browser where you opened the link.

Does Lighter require KYC?

Lighter asks for no identity verification at sign-up: you log in with a wallet or an email and keep custody of your funds. Its Terms still exclude persons in the US, Canada, the UK and several sanctioned countries, and on-chain activity is public. Taxes apply as usual.

How much does the Lighter referrer earn?

Referrers earn 10% (Bronze, everyone) or 20% (Silver, 15+ referrals each active on 5+ days) of the gross fees their referred users pay, which in practice means Premium and Plus fees plus fees for advanced order types (such as TWAP) on Standard; plain Standard market and limit orders are free. Upgrades are manual and weekly, kickbacks are paid every Monday as L2 transfers with a $1 minimum, and all rewards are discretionary. The app’s Referrals page also says “up to 20%”, the Silver rate; no higher tier is published.

Does the Lighter referral code give points?

Lighter documents no points bonus for referees on Lighter Core (app.lighter.xyz). In October 2026 it removed its Season 1 and 2 points pages from the docs (the former market-maker page said Season 2 ended on December 26, 2025), and its Programs section now lists no points program for Lighter Core, so do not sign up expecting referral points. The separate Lighter on Robinhood Chain gives the referrer 10% of referees’ trading points.

Disclosure: 718610TD is our Lighter referral code; Lighter pays us a share of the fees paid by accounts referred through it (Premium and Plus fees, and advanced-order fees such as TWAP on Standard; plain Standard market and limit orders are free, so they earn us nothing). It does not change the fees you pay. Terms are quoted from docs.lighter.xyz and the Lighter app as of October 20, 2026 and may change. Not investment advice.
